We are a team of entrepreneurs, scientists, researchers and tech developers who are all passionate about bringing innovation in digital health to patients.
We have built Dopavision to develop breakthrough healthcare solutions using digital technology. Our team combines scientific and technical curiosity with the goal of creating significant benefits for patients and users. Our offices are located in the heart of Berlin.
FOUNDING AND Management Team
Dr. Hamed Bahmani
Founder
Hamed is the founder of Dopavision. He combines expertise in neuroscience, vision sciences, and engineering with an innovative mindset that drives Dopavision. He has years of experience in academia and industry, and is currently a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics.
Dr. Mark Wuttke
Chief Executive Officer
Mark is dedicated to addressing unmet needs for patients through novel solutions. He brings more than two decades of healthcare business expertise, including experience in the development and commercialization of ophthalmology products at Novartis, a global leader in eye health. He has also worked in equity research at Credit Suisse, management consulting at Booz & Co. and healthcare consulting at Asten BioPharma Advisors, which he co-founded.
Dr. Andreas Balser
Chief Technology Officer
Andreas is the Chief Technology Officer of Dopavision. He is passionate to merge his experience from product management, software and technology management as well as strategy consulting to make our vision become reality. His healthcare industry experience allows him to ensure Dopavision’s product and processes adhere to the highest regulatory standards. He has previously worked with Meierhofer AG and McKinsey&Company, among others.
Dr. Gabriela Burian
Chief Medical Officer
Gabriela is a trained physician and epidemiologist. She is passionate about turning innovative ideas into new medical therapies that have practical applications for many patients by combining medical science and scientific methodology to achieve improved patient clinical care. She has expertise in biomedical and clinical research of new therapies in the field of ophthalmology, retina, which she acquired in academia, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, and as an independent medical strategy advisor.
Dr. Jens Ellrich
Chief Scientific Officer
Jens is an expert in translational medicine with a strong background and a track record in basic and clinical neurosciences, including various eye diseases. He brings a wealth of scientific knowledge and considerable experience in the development of digital therapeutics. An Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience at the Medical Faculty of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Jens has authorship on more than 85 peer-reviewed papers and serves on the Editorial Boards of two scientific journals.
